Stuff Your Mobiles

Should it come as a surprise to know I hate mobiles?  I mean, to a certain aspect.  They're great in emergencies or for a quick check-in, hell it makes coordinating with friends so much easier.  It all comes at a loss though.  Everyone seems to be completely glued to their fucking phone nowadays, and what exactly does that mean?
It's not just phone conversations (thank god), but is texting any better?  Mindless hours spent in front of your phone impersonally writing back and forth, typically accomplishing nothing from it.  One of the most tedious forms of communication to say the least.  What takes five minutes on the phone takes place over the course of an hour via texting.  Where all of this is annoying, it's nothing compared to having a texter in the room.  That's right, pretty much every superficial female and Guy with something close to a girlfriend can be found sitting and smiling to their mobile, distracted from what's around them.  What can only be interpreted by this?

I'm more interested, and would rather be, in what's going on elsewhere.

People are slowly becoming less and less social, and it's fair to say that your five threads with other people and Angry Birds are to blame (No, I've never played it).

I also hate it when someone's on their mobile when in a queue.  We're all forced to take place in it for one reason or another, and here's some jackass who can't keep his mouth shut.  Christ, don't you have an attention span?  Does anyone have an attention span anymore?  Adderall is proscribed at such high rates, but I seriously doubt it's necessary.  (When the majority have trouble living in society without drugs, you know its time to change the shit out of your environment.)  So the asshole on his phone reaches the counter, and what does he do?  That's right, acts as if being at the front of the queue is an inconvenience to his social life.  He doesn't get off his phone, that would be considerate and civil.  He tries to carry a conversation with both because giving someone your full attention is far too lavish for the likes of either party.  In case you didn't know, everyone thinks you're a giant prick.  Have fun walking past the queue you just held up!

Humans are social creatures, and a phone is never going to satisfy your need for socialization.  Quit trying to fake it.  You just look like an idiot that everyone regrets inviting over.
